The MSgt who conducted mine said..."since we're running indoors and you have to dodge people, I usually give guys a second or two on their run times", and definitely didn't tell me my form wasn't correct on my situps until after. I wasn't touching my upper back all the way to the ground. So we did the situps again about 5 minutes later bc I wanted a "real" score.

RE: Pipeline workouts

In regards to cones showing up and their form:

I was looking at the specialtactics forums yesterday and saw a staggering statistic.

It was something like 46% of people showing up for PJ Indoc can't do the PAST properly and 56% for CCT. So less than half are actually starting team.

Is this mostly bad form or folks just unprepared. I know there will always be recruiters pushing kids through and not doing a proper test.

RE: Pipeline workouts

jp, those are good numbers on your PAST, but just like SR said, have great form. too many people show up here to take a past and their form sucks. soooo, their reps dont count and they think im a dick. but... im actually doing them a favor.

anyhow. good luck at BMT. Kick it in the ass.

RE: Pipeline workouts

Sure thing, thank you for the advice. Hopefully it wont be to cold in December ;o)~
If it is, then it's just going to be a miserable 10 days! lol... I'll see some of you on the other side!

RE: Pipeline workouts

Good luck to all of you about to enter selection. Remember to focus on your form with your cals. Lots of cones say that they can do 90 push-ups, but it's more like 60 SOWT push-ups. Just some friendly advice...

SR

RE: BMT in Oct 4th

Quick update. Selection for me will actually be on the 29th of November! So 3 days after BMT.

RE: Pipeline workouts

Will do Joseph, thank you. I've got only 4 more weeks before I head out. So most of the training I will do until I head out will be for small gains, but in reality to maintain my fitness level. Selection will be on November 29th!

RE: Pipeline workouts

So it's not exactly going with the theme, but I took a PAST Test about two weeks ago. I've been doing Sealfit for about 6 months now....and I gotta admit, not getting many two-a-days in (swimming/finning in the mornings before work), but I was still semi pleased with my numbers:

Swim: 9:02, Run: 9:15, Pull-Ups: 18, Sit-Ups: 83, Push-Ups: 72

No excuses from me. I know where I've been slacking and my numbers show it. I should be sub 9 for swim/run by the time I leave for BMT so I'll keep everyone updated...just wanted to throw out some more props for Sealfit. Keep training hard and like everyone says, check out crossfit.com, sealfit.com and anaerobicendurance.com

Joseph

RE: BMT in Oct 4th

Thanks man.
